Hidden in the background of this painting is the Mary Oliver quote, “I saw that worrying had come to nothing and gave it up. And took my old body and went out in the morning and sang.” The painting has beautiful depth and texture, so I named it “Seeing Beyond,” in hopes of the day in the future when we can all stop worrying about Covid and the feeling of being so separate and divided to a place where we all go out in the mornings and sing.
