If you are familiar with my Notes to Self series, you know that when things got tough in my family two years ago, I painted several large paintings that I think of as giant sticky notes. These paintings remind me of things that are important to concentrate on during challenging times. During the pandemic I have thought a lot about the things I miss. Laughter and hugs are at the top of my list. My nephew Kevin, who had a quick smile and wonderful laugh, died a few earlier this year at the age of 52. Again, laughter came to mind. So, here is Remember to Laugh- a 36”x36” acrylic on gallery, painted in honor of my nephew Kevin to remind us all to remember to laugh! Look closely and see if you can find the word 'laugh' in the painting.

 

 

This painting donated by the artist to the Tampa Pig Jig, a philanthropic event that raises money for NephCure Kidney International.
